Luke Escombe is a guitarist, songwriter and storyteller with a deep voice and a unique way with words. In 2011 his career path took an intriguing tangent from his rock and blues roots when he took a one-man show called “Chronic” to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Proving that he could not only do stand-up but illuminate the murky world of male health, the show earned him a nomination for a major theatre award and a globally successful "side gig" as a public speaker and health advocate. In the last couple of years Luke has performed his songs in Vienna, Hong Kong, New York, Chicago, Miami, Bangkok and all over Australia and New Zealand, including at the Sydney Opera House.
He is also the creator and frontman of award-winning children's band The Vegetable Plot.

"Luke Escombe is funny and brave, a showman and an artist, a brilliantly engaging lyricist, expert tunesmith, fine guitarist and exceptional singer. Seldom is such sophistication wrapped in a coating of such overt fun. Hear him” - John Shand, Sydney Morning Herald
"Not only great fat rock’n’boogie but smart, funny and – virtually alone in the roots genre – original and literate’ – John Hardaker, Orangepress
