Overview
Manly Warringah Pipe Band is an active and traditional Scottish Pipe Band with over 30 members, based on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney. Founded in 1949, the band has gone from strength to strength in their 70 plus years, fuelled by the enjoyment of playing amongst a friendly, social group of people with a common passion. We proudly wear the Military Gordon, as worn by the Gordon Highlanders.
The last dozen years have been particularly exciting as the band participated in the Massed Pipes and Drums at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland in 2012, 2015, and 2018, in Sydney in 2010 and Melbourne in 2016, and at the Basel Tattoo in 2017 and 2022. Leading the band is Drum Major Chloe van de Velde and Pipe Major Nick Roelvink.
