The Mighty Resonators are Sydney's resident Blues Funk sensation and have been playing their music in the inner west heartland of Sydney and also down the South Coast of NSW.
The original blues sound covers traditional genres ranging from powerful Chicago blues, Texas shuffle blues, swampy Mississippi Delta tones and Blues Funk with Soul and R&B roots. They site their influences as BB King, Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf and blend this into an uplifting authentic blues sound with amazing tonal dynamics. A five piece band they perform blues standards as well as their catalogue of amazing original songs. Definitely a "Blues Funk Tour De Force" not to be missed.
Recently The Mighty Resonators have evolved their focus to move more into their own original sound and make the Blues Funk canvas part of their unique and driving emotional sound. They are still playing their fine Blues sounds with more emphasis on funk and soul grooves.
With the addition of Keyboards in the line up it is truly an inspirational blend of smooth, melodic and driving sounds that creates a soulful atmosphere taking listeners to a rich landscape of music.
They are currently working on a number of groove originals for their full studio album that will be recorded and released later this year.
"After first walking in and seeing The Mighty Resonators on stage I was amazed, they gave me a sense of jive and beat that quickly drew me into their music's story and I sensed it through the lyrics. I was drawn into the feel and taken away by their song bracket and it was very soulful and I was entertained right to the very end. Good work boys! Great to see Zack Martin playing the FICAN MAXON with style!" - Stuart Monk (CEO Fican Guitars)
"They’re comin’ atcha. The Mighty Resonators, one of the most perfectly monikered bands that Australia has to offer, have announced a Sydney gig perfectly suited for all you blues and soul hounds. The band have played their fair share of shows as of late, growing into a not-to-be-missed live presence. Essentially, they’re a pack of expert musicians playing dense, intelligent music – what more could ya possibly want?" - Joseph Earp Brag Magazine
